This month, Deb Swackhamer, a professor in the U's School of Public Health and co-director of the Water Resources Center, was appointed interim director of the U's new Institute on the Environment. Swackhamer says the institute will coordinate the university's broad environmental resources to make it easier for researchers to share knowledge with each other and the public.
