Modern Corn Production and Nitrogen Fertilizer

Corn is making more efficient use of nitrogen fertilizer in recent years, U of M research shows. George Rehm, a soil scientist with the U of M Extension Service, says a combination of factors is probably responsible for the improvement in nitrogen efficiency, such as new breeds or corn.
