The state of Minnesota has commissioned the U's Institute on the Environment to prepare a new longterm conservation and preservation plan, a blueprint for where the state's attention and resources should be focused on when preserving and protecting Minnesota's natural resources. Deb Swackhamer, the institute's interim director, says the plan will address a wide field of environmental issues.
