U of M Receives $45 million from Department of Energy for New Physics Lab
The University of Minnesota recently announced that it had been awarded $45 million from the U.S. Department of Energy for a new international physics laboratory to be built in northern Minnesota. The lab will study neutrinos, fundamental building blocks of matter that can help researchers discover how the Universe was formed and will continue to form. A lead member of the project, physics professor Marvin Marshak, explains.
