Journalists embedded with the American military around the world face a variety of challenges when reporting the news from regions of conflict. To get a flavor of some of the difficulties the University of Minnesota, in conjunction with the National Guard at Camp Ripley, recently offered a weeklong embedded training program for several students and recent graduates. Kevin Keen, a senior studying broadcast journalism, describes his experience.
