Last week, universities from the Big Ten and the region came together with Midwestern business leaders at the Federal Reserve Bank in Minneapolis for a summit on the role the region plays in the economic life of the nation. The University of Minnesota was there, and Provost Thomas Sullivan says universities, through research and development, have a substantial impact.
