Last week the University of Minnesota broke ground near International Falls for a cutting-edge international physics lab known as the NOvA detector facility. Its purpose? To study neutrinos, the fundamental building blocks of matter. Bill Miller, the project's manager, says this is a major step forward into the physics of the unknown.
