Rochester is "On The Verge"
It's no secret that the city of Rochester is booming, but now even those out-of-town are starting to take notice.
The latest issue of Fast Company magazine says Rochester is on the verge of being what it calls a “fast city.�
According to the magazine, a fast city is a place where smart and talented people want to live and be with other smart and talented people -- among other positive traits.
It says Rochester is on the verge of becoming one and many locals aren't too surprised.

According to the publication, Rochester was an "on the verge" city in the category of research and development.
And local leaders say that boom will continue as the city expands with projects like the bio-business center and University of Minnesota moving downtown.
No Minnesota city was listed as a fast city, but Minneapolis was recognized as a city on the verge of becoming a "green leader."
