Meals for Minds

Meals for Minds is a project of Second Harvest Heartland. I helped distribute food to the families of children attending Pillsbury and Sheridan schools in Northeast Minneapolis last year. I plan to do it again if I don't have a conflict with the time. I enjoyed talking to the children and their parents as I handed out my item. There were many different kinds of foods, including breads, cereals, fruits, and even meat. We also opened boxes and set the food out before starting the distribution. I met some other nice volunteers and found the whole experience fun and satisfying.
