In deze tijden van polarisatie tussen de red and the blue states, blijft er toch
een ding wat de Amerikanen bindt: afkeer van de Fransen. Zoals Eddie Izzard
(da's nu wel een Brit) het zegt: "there is nothing wrong with them, except that they are so...... French"

Ook gehoord toen duidelijk werd dat de Fransen geen troepen naar Irak zouden sturen: "to go to war with the French is like going hunting with an accordeon."
