Maybe because it was the most recent chapter I read, but I found the chapter on stress to be interesting, and how people handle stress differently. This is a thing that will definitely be relevant in my life five years from now and beyond that. Though I consider my life to be pretty stressful right now, in five years from now as I will be dealing with different stresses--that of being on my own and paying bills and hopefully having a good job, and undergoing stressful events in my life such as a marriage and starting a family. It's interesting to see how two people can react completely differently to different situations, and how to one it can be a major deal, but for the other it's no problem. I think my life right now is pretty stressful since I am in school and working part-time, and to some people this would be too much to handle and for others it would be fine. When looking at the Social Readjustment Rating scale, I found that few of the events have happened to me, but will surely occur in the next five years and the rest of my life to come.

Stress is a big part of my life as a college student, and I think that it will continue. People do handle stress very differently from one another. It is important to realize if you are in a stressful situation or time in your life, and figure out ways in which you help it. I realized that this year I have run more in the morning because it helps to reduce my stress during the day.
Nice blog entry! I agree with you about the whole stress situation. I feel like I am at a very stressful point in my life as well, but over the next few years, many other stresses will occur. It's important to know how to effectively handle each type of stress in order to stay positive and handle situations well!
I think this is a really interesting take on stress and this chapter. I always think my life is stressful every year, but every year new things are added to make it even more stressful. I can't even begin to think how bad it will be in the future, but in this chapter there were many ways to cope with stress so that will be very useful! Also I loved that scale and also had a few checked off already, wonder what i will have checked off in the future!
Stress is something very important. If not handled appropriately it can lead to bad things. For me, my stress reached an all-time high during my last year of high school and first year of college. The stress was so bad that it triggered anxiety and depression to enter my life. That is why managing one's stress is very important and should not be taken lightly.
I'll admit that I am not the best person who can deal with stress well. It's hard to just drop stress. I can play some games with a friend and relax for a bit but once it all stops and reality sets back in it's just hard to deal with the stress. Even wondering about the future is causing my stress now. I feel like I'm the person who can't just drop stress and be free. It's not stress that I can't handle it's just a perpetual stress thinking that I have something I need to be doing. As long as everyone has their own ways of dealing with stress then we can take life head on because stress isn't just going to go away.
