Jamila goes to a concert! 6/4/2005
On Saturday, Jamila went to the totally awesome concert by Elizabeth Mitchell, Dan Littleton and friends in Minneapolis. She’s been listening to their CD’s of great kids music You Are My Flower and You Are My Sunshine almonst since she was born. The concert was a blast for kids and grown-ups, with tons of kids getting up on stage and dancing to the great music.
The funny thing was that about half way through the concert, Jamila fell asleep! This was not because the concert was boring, but because we had used Elizabeth & Dan’s songs to rock Jamila to sleep for most of the first year of her life. So hearing these same songs, in a sorta-dark room, put Jamila in the mood for a good nap!
After the concert Jamila got to meet Elizabeth, Brad’s old friend Dan, and their daughter Storey who has some great cameos in some of the songs and did a great harmonica solo on one song.
