My Blurb book on "Ecuador and Galapagos" has just been published. The Galapagos Islands are amazing places, and Ecuador (to which the Galapagos belongs) is picturesque both in its cities and in the headwaters of the Amazon. This book, and the preceding one on Africa, are made from scanned 35mm slides. Digital photos are crisper, but the slides turned out pretty well. There will be more, as I go back to trips taken before the digital era.

For the next couple of weeks, I'm going to show pairs of animals seen in Africa or other international travels, compared with those in zoos in Albuquerque or Minnesota. The experience of seeing these animals in the wild is extraordinary, but zoos are also remarkable.
The Africa photos come from those taken on a trip to South Africa, Botswana, and Zimbabwe, which I have just assembled in a book entitled "Africa". It's available on the Blurb website.
