Newly crowned Spanish champions Valencia CF gave themselves extra reason to celebrate with a 2-0 victory.
History is made by performances like the one Valencia produced in Gothenburg. It brought a double that a whole city had been dreaming of, and which made amends for Spanish football's poor showing on the continental stage. It is a triumph that makes Valencia's future look brighter than ever.

Tots con el Valençia!
It’s done. Werder Bremen secured the German championship title on Saturday afternoon through a 1:3 success in Munich.
Already in the first half the Bremen players made clear who was going to win this game. After 19 minutes Klasnic took advantage of another mistake from Oliver Kahn for the 0:1 lead. Micoud (26’) and Ailton (35) took care of the rest. The munich players only achieved to shorten the score difference with a goal by Makaay at the beginning of the second half.
