Valencia CF waited 24 years for a European trophy and now two have come along in the space of three months.
Exciting finish
The Spanish champions and UEFA Cup holders won the UEFA Super Cup in Monaco with headed goals from Rubén Baraja and Marco Di Vaio, although Ricardo Quaresma's late drive for Porto ensured an exciting finish.

Newly crowned Spanish champions Valencia CF gave themselves extra reason to celebrate with a 2-0 victory.
History is made by performances like the one Valencia produced in Gothenburg. It brought a double that a whole city had been dreaming of, and which made amends for Spanish football's poor showing on the continental stage. It is a triumph that makes Valencia's future look brighter than ever.

UEFA CUP FINAL GAME TODAY
Today, Valencia CF will try to win the second title this year. After having won the Spanish Liga two weeks ago, today they have a chance to get the UEFA Cup and become the first team in history to hold the "Fairs Cup" (called this way from 1958 till 1971) and the UEFA Cup. Amunt Valencia!
This is the 6th Liga Title for Valencia CF:
Two days ago, most people thought it was impossible that Valencia CF would become champion today. Three things had to happen.
Today, though, after the two other teams in the race lost, Valencia could win the Spanish Liga. They play Seville (who is trying to get a spot in the UEFA Cup next year) at their own stadium, but the stands will be filled with Valencia followers trying to see their team make history...
