VG Student Organization
I found the information we would need to start a student organization. The cost is $25, and we need 5 students to serve as officers. The URL for the info is http://www.sua.umn.edu/groups/start/. Let me know what you think. The student organization would be a good thing to pitch at the classroom presentations, especially if we planned a late-spring event.
