No homework today...the kids have standardized testing tomorrow. We played, talked, and went shopping today. Pretty fun. The gym was quite crowded today, making most games hard to play. Still, it was good to have students who don't normally join us. Probably the most fun we've had this semester.
One of my favorite things to do is listen to the conversations the kids have with eachother. Everyone here has such a unique personality, and that's what makes this place so interesting. I get the feeling that a lot of people categorize and stereotype less fortunate children, children of immigrants, etc, without ever meeting or interacting with one. These kids are absolutely like any others, but they have little chance to show it to the world. I know my views have changed since I started volunteering. I'm going to spread the word.
