Surrender to the APA Manual!

Don't fight it ... just conform to the details.

I found this website very helpful while I wrote my Frameworks Paper. The sample paper, written in APA format, includes precise and concise explanations of the formatting used.

Surrendering to the APA Manual is a relief in my opinion. I did it my sophomore year of college and I've never gone back. Once you learn it and live it, it's like second nature and personally, I love it! I realized this slightly pathetic truth the other day when I found myself doggedly defending APA style to a friend who is a die-hard MLA fan... we realized we both probably needed to get out more.

For more of a basic format and explanations of using APA in writing a research paper, I have used a book from the Advantage Series when I did my undergraduate research project. It was very helpful since it gave examples on the steps of starting a research paper and how to conduct one well. The book also gave examples of the different styles including the APA format. I do have a copy of the fifth edition and if any of you want to take a look, I will be more than willing to let you borrow it.
