This chapter was helpful because it strongly relates to what I'm doing in my museum brochure. Under each piece of art I'm using the story as captions and I'm planning on ragging the type right. "ragged right" I'm also using symmetry in the painting side of my accordion. Im using true symmetry because I want it to be like a museum wall. Using colored type wasn't something I thought about until I read this chapter. I'm going to experiment with that.

The major idea from chapter 2 that I'm going to use in my museum project is white space.
White space is very common in museums, and it gives that clean, sophisticated feel. I'm also going to use repetition with the paintings on each "wall" or section of the according fold. The consistency of paintings on the museum wall will make it appear as a a museum wall.
Using the grid in my project will be very helpful with making the paintings on my even and give them hierarchy over the type. I'll also use it for the cover and back to align my cover frame and type. Type-size will be important so it doesn't dominate my wall art.
I LOVE POP ART!
Bright, neon colors, simple patterns, bold shapes, and so much to look at. Pop art is the best for eye catching art. Andy Warhol popularized this and it's still one of the most commonly used ways of advertising. Some of my favorites...

This article inspired me to research iranian graphic design. Typography is actually really popular in Iran, and is one of the reasons why iranian design is so unique. I think it's great that iranian artists have a way of expressing themselves through their designs, since they can't express themselves through fashion.

Mtv always seems to have successful voting campaigns. Choose or Loose was everywhere!

Vote or Die was big because so many celebrities got into it which obviously makes the public (especially college kids) interested in politics and making their voice heard.
I love the rolled up flower paper... giving the bouquet effect. -The Partners UK
The idea of adding comic relief with the red balloons for the annual reports is great. especially using something like a cartoon red balloon.

The victoria and Albert Museum Spiral mailer is so cool! I want to do something like that for my brochure in class. But maybe not as complicated!
I like campaign ads, such as the gun control in Africa shown. It's so simple yet effective.
