A Florida judge set bail at a hearing on Friday at $150,000 for George Zimmerman, the man accused of killing unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin.
According to ABC Action News the conditions of bail include wearing an ankle monitor to be tracked by the Seminole Sheriff's Office, and he must remain unarmed.
Zimmerman's attorney told the media that there is concern for his clients safety and will not be released until sometime next week to ensure his security.
In an attempt to calm the agitation around community over the case, Zimmerman made an apology to the Martin's parents in court on Friday, PBS News Hour reported. "I wanted to say I am sorry the loss of your son," Zimmerman said. "I did not know how old he was and I did not know if he was armed or not."
Benjamin Crump, who is the attorney for Trayvon Martin's parents, said he did not believe the apology was sincere.
