A visit to the capital in St. Paul from NFL Commissioner Rodger Goodell, helped push the Viking Stadium bill through the senate committee on Friday.
According to Kare 11, Goodell emerged from the meeting with lawmakers saying there were no threats of the team leaving involved and that it was a productive session.
"The time has come to pass the legislation to assure the Vikings will be here a long time," Goodell told the media. "Let's get this addressed."
WCCO reported that lawmakers put aside the Arden Hills plan and focused on the $1 Billion downtown stadium site where the Metrodome is currently located. They have limited time to pass the bill before the session is done in a little over a week.
