With the final four teams determined and set to play in the NCAA men's basketball tournament in New Orleans, the Kentucky Wildcats are favored to win.
According to Bloomberg.com the Wildcats have a 52 percent chance of winning the championship, followed by Ohio State with a 25 percent chance. In last year's tournament the Wildcats knocked out the Buckeyes in the regional semifinals.
The Wildcats are also favored to capture the schools eighth national championship in a poll conducted by the Los Angeles Times. According to the poll, nearly 50 percent of 1,930 readers predicted the Wildcats as winners.
Kentucky's success stems from key contributions by underclassman that have put together a remarkable 36-2 record, which makes them the most favored team since 1999 Duke squad.
