Two things!

Hello students,
Just two quick things:
The book on Course Reserve for AEM 3031--Mechanics of Materials--is to no longer check out overnight. The loan of this book is now 2 HOURS ONLY, NO OVERNIGHT. However, like videos, the book will check out in Aleph overnight, so just tell patrons it will be due back two hours from checkout. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Also:
The gate counts have been sloppy as of late, and I just want to remind everyone that opens and works at six (usually closing the library) that it is part of your duty to take the gate counts. Weekends have been especially poor lately, as staff are not here at 6 to remind you. Please take it upon yourselves to take the gate counts at 8am and 6pm. Think about right now the days that you work during these hours, and put it in your mind that after you take off your coat and stow your things, please take the gate counts!

Thanks!
Tim

When a patron comes to the desk asking for a Guest Access Card, please remember to look them up first to see if they already have a card. One card per user!

If they already have a card in the system and it's expired you should extend the expiration date 6 months.

If they already have a card in the system but don't have the card with them you should print the barcode of their card so they can use it to log in. Do not issue another card.

Please ask if there are questions. Thanks!

Sadly, it has come to my attention that we have a yogurt thief here at the library. Over the last few weeks a half dozen delicious, creamy, nutritious parts of multiple people's lunches have 'mysteriously' disappeared, leaving meals incomplete and stomachs wanting. Names have been written on containers--to no avail. Yogurt is still disappearing. I would like to take this moment to remind everyone to keep up the practice of marking your food clearly with your name before placing it in the refrigerator. I would also like to take this moment to kindly ask the thief to CEASE AND DESIST FROM STEALING OUR FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you.

Shifts for Week of Nov. 19th

Hey Everybody,

I'm looking to have someone (or two) to take two of my shifts for Thanksgiving week. The days are Nov. 20th (Tuesday) and Nov. 24th (Saturday). It's usually difficult to get these taken and would help out a lot since I need to travel 5 and a half hours to get back home on that Tuesday to celebrate Thanksgiving and my brother's birthday with my family. Both shifts are desk work only and are usually quiet. The shifts are up on the tradeboard now and if you message me I may be able to trade, although my schedule is not open on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Thank you in advance if you are able to pick up either of these shifts.

fall_back.jpgDaylight Savings Time Ends Sunday at 2:00 AM. Don't forget to turn your clocks back!

Hello students,

Hourly gate counts will start this Sunday and run through the whole week until November 11th. So please, remember every hour you are on the desk to take the gate counts. For those of you unfamiliar with the gate counts, please ask a co-worker or supervisor.

Thanks so much!
Tim
