Iteration 1 Thoughts

Generally the development of Iteration 1 went well. Starting off the project was not hard due to the fact that the lab we'd completed the week before in class gave us an idea on how to begin to write code for the first Iteration. Creating code for the regular expressions and assigning them token names was the easy part. However, once we had created the tokens, it was a real challenge for my partner and I to place the tokens into a linked list, and to ensure that the given tests worked. After receiving help from the TA's and from the professor we were finally able to complete Iteration 1. Working on this project with a partner has been a good experience for me. If one of us was struggling in writing part of the code, the other was right there to give input on a different way to go about doing that specific. Thus it gave us a broader frame of thinking while trying to solve Iteration 1. To improve our output in the following iterations, we hope to keep a more balanced hold on writing code and testing the code. In the first iteration, it was easier to complete a lot of our code and then in the end for bugs. However, as the project develops, this method will be harder to work with, thus we plan on integrating writing and testing code better. Also, for the upcoming iterations, I hope that my partner and I continue working on it with the same persistence that we have been working on it so far.
