E! News reported that an Indian court has issued a warrant for Gere's arrest in response to a complaint that the actor committed an "obscene act" by kissing Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty at a public event in India.

The kiss happened at an HIV/AIDS awareness summit in New Delhi. Gere swooped Shetty into his arms, dipped her and planted a few kisses on her face.

Devout Hindu groups were outraged by the act, which they saw as an insult to Indian culture. Entertainment news reported that posters of both Gere and Shetty were burned in several major cities in India.

The judge ordered Shetty to appear in his Jaipur court on May 5 to explain why she did not resist the actor's moves. If Gere is found guilty of public obscenity, he could face up to three months in prisons, a fine or both.

Kare 11 reported that Jack Valenti, a film industry lobbyist who guided Hollywood from the censorship era to the digital age, died. He was 85.

Valenti had a stroke in March and was hospitalized for several weeks at Johns Hopkins University Medical Center in Baltimore. He died in his home in Washington D.C.

CNN reported Jack Valenti led Motion Picture Association for 38 years, and was assistant to President Lyndon Johnson.

CNN reported that Hugh Grant has been arrested by police for being accused of allegedly attacked a photographer with a tub of baked beans.

The photographer, Ian Whittaker, said that Grant abused and kicked him before throwing the beans. The London tabloid, The Daily Star showed a photograph of Grant with a plastic tub of food raised over his head.

The Daily Telegraph reported that the Whittaker claimed that Grant launched into tirade of abuse aimed at his children.

According to gaysocialites.com Spears is pointing fingers for her tragic downfall at her manager Larry Rudolph and former BFF Paris Hilton.

Spears is trying to take back her career. She has been spotted back in the music studio and taking regular dance class reported E!online. She fired her manager of several months, Larry Rudolph, on Friday, blames Rudolph for recent missteps, including introducing her to her nemesis, Paris Hilton. There may be legal ramifications as she signed a multi-year deal with Rudolph.

Berry appeared on "Good Morning America" to talk about the movie and going bald for the part

In "Perfect Stranger," Berry plays a journalist who goes undercover after the murder of her best friend. The actress said playing a woman tasked with concealing her identity was a challenge.

The founder of the "Girls Gone Wild" videos defied a federal judge, calling him a "judge gone wild" and refusing to surrender to U.S. marshals on a contempt citation, CNN reported.

U.S. District Judge Richard Smoak ordered Joe Francis into custody after settlement negotiations in a lawsuit brought by seven women who were minors when Francis' company filmed them on Panama City Beach.

The 34-year-old Francis makes an estimated $29 million a year through the videos of girls exposing their breasts. Francis drew the contempt order after lawyers for the women said Francis threatened them during negotiations.

CNN reported Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry says in a magazine interview that she was so depressed after her 1997 breakup with ex-husband and baseball star David Justice that she tried to take her own life.

In this upcoming issue of Parade magazine, Berry says that since then and after a second divorce, she has learned to take control of her own life.

In the magazine she stated "I was sitting in my car, and I knew the gas was coming when I had an image of my mother finding me," Berry says of the suicide attempt. "She sacrificed so much for her children, and to end my life would be an incredibly selfish thing to do, CNN reported.

Eric Benet, as "really horrific." "We were in sex rehab after one year. I wish I had left then, but I was putting everyone's needs before mine," she says.

For the past year, Berry has been dating model Gabriel Aubry and says she is now ready to have a child.

"Now my sights are set on a different chapter in my life, which is motherhood. That's the goal I have very clearly set for myself," she says.

Katie Holmes marriage to actor Tom Cruise may be turning into a nightmare, US Weekly reported. Katie has to deal with Tom's controlling nature while taking care of their 11-month old daughter Suri. Source close to Holmes reported that Cruise calls all the shots in the marriage and frustrates Holmes. She has been crying over the phone, but Cruise has denied everything. Reports also said that Cruise has been screening all her calls, US weekly reported.

Britney Spears has only been in rehab a short time but reports have begun to surface that she has been struggling already, MSNBC reported. Sources told US weekly that she is "getting in tons of trouble" at the Malibu rehab facility Promises. She has been caught talking on her cell phone and has allegedly left her facility to shop. A source told US weekly Britney believes she is "suffering from postpartum depression. She does not think she has an alcohol or drug problem," reported MSNBC.

Us Weekly reported, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are in the process of adopting a child from Vietnam. The couple wants to adopt a boy around 3 or 4 years of age. A U.S. adoption agency filed the papers at Vietnam's International Adoption Agency, said Vu Duc Long, the agency's director. They filed the papers this week and awaiting the approval, CNN reported

Jolie and Pitt, already have three children: 5-year-old son Maddox, adopted from Cambodia, 2-year-old daughter Zahara, adopted from Ethiopia, and daughter Shiloh, who was born in May, reported CNN.

Former pop princess Britney Spears shaves head last Friday evening at a California's San Fernando Valley Salon, CNN reported.

After leaving the salon, Spears headed to the Body & Soul tattoo parlor in nearby Sherman Oaks, Calif. According to Us Weekly, she got two tattoos there, one on her hip and one on her wrist.

When a Body & Soul employee looked at the pop star in disbelief and asked why she shaved her head, Spears said, "I don't want anyone touching me. I'm tired of everybody touching me," Us Weekly reports.

USmagazine.com reported that Prince Frederic von Anhalt claims that he is the latest Anna Nicole Smith's baby daddy. He filed for a paternity challenge in Santa Monica court Thursday. He said he had been sleeping with Anna Nicole for 10 years and denies he is after the 5-month-old Dannielynn's possible inheritance.

Former playboy, model, and trimspa spokesperson died today of unknown causes. She was found collasped in her Florida hotel, according to officals. She was only 39 years old, reported Star Tribune.

She was staying at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino when she was rushed to the hospital after CPR was performed on her. She arrived at the hospital and was reported dead. According to Edwind Johnson, chief investigator for the Brownward Medical Examiners Office, said the cause of death was under investigation and an autopsy with be done on Friday, Star Tribune reported.

CNN reported her attorney Ron Rale told reporters she had been suffering from flu-like symptoms for the past few days. She left behind her newborn daughter Dannielynn Hope.
