Splurge - Updated
I was recently offered a new job within the Libraries about which I am very, very happy. To celebrate, I went to Depth of Field in Mpls and got 4 skeins of Art Yarns Regal Silk in color 130. Scarf is forthcoming done. Learned one thing already: doublestranding silk is not a very good idea. The strands get twisted around and if you don't constantly untwist them, bad things happen. Probably lost the better part of a yard total to tangles. Silk is a wonderful fiber - warm when you need it, but not stifling when you dont. And soft, soft, soft.

Completed Scarf:
Yarn: Art Yarns Regal Silk in color 130, 4 skeins
Pattern: Ruffles from Scarf Style
Needles: size 9 Clover straights

A blog series is a terrific way to chunk your long thoughts and gives you and if you can't write the whole series all at once, it gives you a chance to adapt portions based on feedback within your readers.
