African Union suspends C'ote D'Ivoire

Amid controversy surrounding it's political spectrum, the Ivory Coast was suspended by the African Union, according to CNN.

The Union has suspended the country indefinitely until a democratically-elected president takes office, according to statement.

Recently, West African leaders asked incumbent president Laurent Gbago to concede power to Alassane Ouattara. Gbago refused even though he lost popular election, according to the Washington Post.
