The Twins set the stage for a plethora of roster moves Thursday by trading shortstop JJ Hardy, according to the Star Tribune.
Along with Hardy, the Twins sent infielder Brendan Harris and $500,000 to the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for relievers Jim Hoey and Brett Jacobson.
The move signifies that the Twins are comfortable with their negotiatons with Japanes infield Tsuyoshi Nishioki, according to Associated Content.
