Chapter 103: Memorial Day Wrap-Up or... A Day of Friends

Yesterday was a good day. A very good day. I got a chance to get out of my apartment a good deal and see a good number of friends. Not only that, but I totally reignited my life long love affair with Baseball. But, this story starts in the morning.

I got up around 7 and took a shower then went and met up with my friend Molly Green who is studying for an exam associated with her career at Dain Rauscher. I myself needed to get out of the house and get some work done on my thesis book so we hung out for the morning at the Dunn Bros. on 6th and University which I really enjoy despite its massive lack of outlets.

Molly looks a bit ghostly, but made for excellent coffee shop study company

After working all morning, I met up with my friend Jessica and we went to the Twins game with tickets she bought me as a graduation present. We sat in the right field corner where I have never actually sat before and loved it! Not only did we win, but I got a chance to see one of the best catches by Torii Hunter or anyone else I've ever seen. It reminded me of Kirby Puckett out in center as he snagged a home run, on the run, over his shoulder. Damn fine catch.

Santana pitched an outstanding 8 innings and got the run support he needed for a big win

I went home for a bit and then headed over to Anderson and Stacy's downtown apartment and we cooked up some bbq fare and caught up. I also got a chance to see pictures from Luke and Katherine's wedding down in Mexico which was beautiful.

Finally, I met up with Melissa and watched Thank You For Smoking with Aaron Eckhart which is really an outstanding movie and very pleasingly designed. Really an A-grade movie.

And thus, Memorial Day drew to a close. Hope yours was as enjoyable.
