Dear Friends,
On Friday, after two years of graciously beating the odds against brain cancer a loving husband, inspiring father, and generous friend passed away. Many people have already shared their thoughts and kind words with our family regarding my Dad. After many attempts to find words that would express my feelings of love and loss I find myself lacking the flair and cleverness he was known for and would like to share a few words from a dear friend of the family who wrote this about him:
“Bob left us in a peaceful, gentle moment fitting of a most beautiful and sweet man. Bob lived the definition of a full life and the one word that aptly describes what it was like to have shared some of that life with him is, privileged. The impact this man had on the world and the people around him is remarkable. Through his service to our country, his outstanding career and his powerful role in the hearts and lives of our family and friends, Bob quietly inspired everyone he met and lived the kind of life to which so many aspire. Many wonderful stories will be shared and much will be said in honor of Bob's remarkable life in the days, weeks and years to come.�
Thanks to everyone for their support during this difficult time and for those of you who knew him, thank you so very much for the joy and love that was a part of my father's rich and wonderful life. I'm sure he would look forward to me getting the site back on track after having abandoned it in light of my father's illness.
