Tonight is our last night in Cape Town. The past
three and a half weeks have simply flown by. At the same time, I also feel that
I have learned so much from this short trip across the world. We have done so
much and have become so close I feel as though we are family. I know that when
I leave I will leave a part of me in this place. Cape Town has given me so much
to bring back home to my family and friends (aside from the thousands of gifts
purchased at the Green Market). The people here have taught me so much about
healing and reconciliation. I have received so much and feel helpless in that
there is no way that I can give South Africa what South Africa gave me. Despite
not wanting to leave this African paradise, I am excited and anxious to go home and try to truly make a difference with the knowledge I have attained on this
journey.
