This whole week has been packed with a lot of fun. Tuesday we went to the Bafana Bafana vs. Norway game. It was an amazing experience interacting with all of the locals, watching the game, and coming together as one cheering for Bafana Bafana. Then yesterday ten of us went on the Aquila Safari where we were able to see elephants, rhinos, springboks, giraffes, zebras, lions, cheetahs, and crocodiles. We had to wake up early and leave our house by 7 am where Lisa and another lady who were a bundle of energy greeted us. On the way to the safari we saw baboons on the side of the road. Once we got to the reserve we were greeted by the staff and had an amazing breakfast. The safari was about two and a half hours long and afterwards we had lunch and then were able to lie out by the pool. It was a great way to spend our free day on Saturday. Finally, today we went to Simon's Town where we were able to see penguins and swim in the ocean. Milan and myself were jumping off the rocks into the ocean with some of the locals. It was a blast! Afterwards, we went to Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope where we hiked up the mountain to the second lighthouse that Nate led us too. It was the most amazing breathtaking view. Once we got down from there we hiked down the mountain to Cape of Good Hope taking lots of pictures along the way. This week defiantly has been a fun-filled week!
