The University of Minnesota Farmers Market opens its eighth season today, Wednesday, July 11, 2012. The market features Twin Cities-area vendors who travel 2.5 hours or less to deliver and sell everything from berries to sweet corn to tomatoes to squash. As is the tradition, the market will be held rain or shine, every Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. through October 10th. It is located on the Church Street pedestrian mall, East Bank campus.
