It's Even Worse than It Looks: A Conversation with Tom Mann and Norm Ornstein
June 25, 4 - 5:30 p.m. | Cowles Auditorium

The Center for the Study of Politics and Governance will host Congressional scholars Thomas Mann and Norm Ornstein on Monday, June 25, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in Cowles Auditorium. In their new book, titled It's Even Worse Than It Looks: How the American Constitutional System Collided With the New Politics of Extremism, Mann and Ornstein argue that the political system faces what the authors call "asymmetric polarization," and until voters learn to act strategically to reward problem solving and punish obstruction, American democracy will remain in serious danger. This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required at A reception will follow the program.
