I wish the Libraries had their own direct deposit system. Instead, direct deposit is through the University's system, which gives them more permission than just depositing paychecks. I borrowed a classroom on behalf of a student group once, and later the University withdrew $5 from my USBank checking account. The only way they have my account info is through direct deposit registration (or possibly payments I have made with my checking account in the past, but they're not supposed to re-use that info).
