Owing to the hard work and diligence of Daryn and Joe, the summer-long Great Shift of 2007 is finally completed! This was a massive undertaking after the removal of a whopping 34,000 volumes to MLAC storage (you all remember that fun work!).

Everyone congratulate Daryn and Joe on a job well done!

Thank you!

Name That Tune

Starting next Monday there will be a weekly Name that Tune posted to the blog. Each month will have a theme, August's theme will be Summertime. The original idea was to give lyrics from the song, however Daryn pointed out that all you had to do was a google search for the lyrics. Because of this oversight on my part i have re-worked the set up. Now there will either be a clue to what the song title is or a summary of the song. The songs can be from any time and genre. You will be given the artist and the year the song originally was released. If you know the answer just post a comment with the song title. There will be fabulous prizes awarded each week.

Example:Clue to Title
Theme:60's
Artist:CCR
Year: 1968
Clue:Where two streets meet at the end of a block

Example:Song Summary
Theme:70's
Artist:Don McLean
Year:1971
Summary:About the loss of the Big Bopper, Ritchie Valens, and Buddy Holly

Post if you know the answer...there may be a prize involved
