Personal Connections To..... An Ad?

When was the last time that you saw a really good ad? Do you remember how it made you feel? Well this ad does a great job at pulling forth the emotions that people experience through communication. When I saw this ad I thought that the advertisers chose a very creative way of displaying the categories of people that the narrator announce.
The key emotions that the commercial capture are happiness and inclusion. The advertisers allow the viewers to be able to create a personal connection to the commercial so that the chances of the potential customer purchases the product. The overall idea of the commercial is to announce a category then to associate that with an image. The really interesting thing is that the images are created with people! I think that by doing that the advertisers are about to bring the commercial to a personal level even though it is aimed at everyone.
In the ad I wouldn't say that emotions are manipulated in the commercial but they are brought forth so the viewers feel included in the categories that the narrator announces. On that note I would like to leave this post with one question.

Has anyone seen a really great/creative ad that they really enjoyed, and what emotions did the ad target to accomplish a successful ad/commercial?

I feel that this ad is really creative and definitely draws a connection us on a personally level with the ad being made out of people. One ad in particular that has made me feel strong emotions about is that one where they are trying to find homes for the homeless dogs and cats. I believe it is the for ASPCA Every time I watch it, it makes me cry. I feel as if I need to call and adopt one right then and there. People that create ads need to be very creative because the ads that make someone feel strong emotion I feel are the products that do the best on the market.

A angle for advertising is definitely prevalent in this society. Although this method is not used as often as others it is still extremely provoking for the audience watching. Advertisements for donations to non profit organizations especially pull at people's heart strings. This is usually an enhancement for the people donating.
One particular personal ad was done as a public service announcement. It is something that affects virtually every person's life at some point or another. Watch:

to experience this bullying ad which is so prevalent in many middle schools, junior highs, and high schools.

That is a really great commercial Carolyn! I watched it three times just to see how they did it.

I think you did a nice job describing the emotional content of the video and that is what really sticks with people in the end.

But the key is getting people's attention in a marketplace that is very very competitive and full of competing distractions. When a commercial is this creative people respond and now we have You tube to really see how much people like these ads.
