Game system as mother

The game system as mother entry from Jill's blog signals that game studies must be close to maturity if they have reached for the mother/baby/womb analogy.

mothers are as different snowflakes, which is why the general analogy is so often cliche to some degree. i mean, psychoanalysis is interesting and all, and i've done my fair amount of research on the mother archetype, but, sometimes, mother and baby should just stay out of certain fields of study. Or, maybe I've just read too much feminist literary criticism. Posted by wood0072 at October 28, 2005 11:37 AM
