I liked a lot of the points Debbie made and would like to add to just why Girls Gone Wild is so disgusting. Other than the filmmakers clearly not having sober consent to film these women, the fact that the producers and camera operators and all of the people creating the girls gone wild videos are men is a clearly oppressive system, and I think that they are abusing their privileges as male and preying on the insecurities of young women barely out of high school who are still developing their sexualities and vulnerable (especially when drunk) to exploitation. Also, the positions the girls are put in, being that the videos are both made by and aimed toward men, are very degrading to women.
I would also like to add, when talking about prostitution, one big push toward its legalization has been as protection for the prostitutes themselves; protection both from abuse and exploitation from pimps, and also access to regular healthcare and testing which will protect them from disease.
