Strippers, porn stars, and prostitutes.

In response to the girl in class Wednesday who couldn't fathom as to why someone would ever be a porn star, etc.. I'm going to have to throw the issue of money out there. Porn stars make LOTS of money. I'm not justifying or defending the porn industry, because I still think women are definetly exploited in this type of industry, when obviously they shouldn't be. But it's a choice, and some women feel they just gotta do what they gotta do. The girl in class kept questioning as to why someone would want to be a "legal prostitute" or porn star, when they could be a doctor. It's not always that easy for every girl to do what they want to do. Not everyone is given the opportunity to just become a doctor if they want to. I have some friends who have stripped because they felt it was what they needed to do to get themselves back up on their feet (while homeless) and some friends who have stripped just because they wanted to. Because it was easy money and personally didn't mind that type of work.
I think there are two types of sluts (sorry if this is off topic) : 1- a female who has sex because she's self conscious and feels she will gain acceptance of whomever she is "getting with", and 2- a women who just loves sex, and doesn't care about her reputation- just has to do it. Same with prostitutes, stippers, and porn stars. Women in this type of work have reasoning for what they do. Either they feel they have to, or they want to and can just detach themselves from the "occupation". But just because you wouldn't do it yourself, doesn't mean it's it shouldn't be done. It's sad that a women should feel like that is their only option, but some women just like it. And that's it.
