Random Blogginess

I have been spending a lot of time on the photo blog. I have also made it so that anyone can comment.

Best quote ever

From Katie's lecture: "So, once I get my 2 years for cat molestation."

Wow

So debate camp here in town has started and we have 9 kids and that is sort of exciting. It so far seems like it is going to be not too strenuous and the kids seem both fun and fairly exciting. The boy has just become something akin to super-boy. The boy is always pretty spectacular (though I admit a degree of bias), but as of late he is being unreasonably amazing. He has brought me stuff I have forgotten, done my laundry and dishes, loved on my cat, run errands with me, and is picking me up a Blizzard tonight. Some say love is never having to say you're sorry, I think love might be bringing a combination of Butterfingers and ice cream. Interestingly, the second one is also a bit easier too.
The only exciting things I have been doing is shopping -- I got a new pair of cute shoes and broke down and bought a more work appropriate bag that I could carry my laptop in. The fact that it was a Michael Kors bck at 65% off at Nordstroms rack. It also matches the wallet I love and has pockets. I love the pockets. The boy has ordered a bluetooth headphone and computer adapter for my phone, so I will be able to freely send photos to the photo blog. The other day on the photoblog, I posted photos of Dave and Amy's two dogs, Milo and Charlie, along with my reworking of the "Dukes of Hazard" theme. It is the work I am currently most proud of.

A Great Day in Natalie-World

I am very happy, it seems like it will be a good day here. I am about to leave to go on a ride with a friend who just got a bike. It is really fun to ride with someone and talk and just enjoy riding.
Katie is back in town!!!!!!
We are going to the bridal salons at Marshall Fields today and maybe over to Forepaugh's to take photos.
Yesterday, we put the deposit down at Forepaugh's to hold out wedding and reception there.
Life is good.

Yeah it has been awhile

So the summer is off in full swing and I have not been a bastion of business. The job at the bike shop is over and the first of my two debate camps starts this weekend. Right now there is a tornado warning and it is grey and black outside and the air has that certain charge that almost sounds like someone saying "something is going to happen" over and over in a drone.
I bought another bike today. Before you, my readers, have the response ("WHAT?!") that everyone else I have told has, let me explain the situation. I have been looking for a cheaper bike to ride to bars, etc. I also just love the looks of the older 10-speed bikes and the 1970s road bikes. This AM, I awoke, checked e-mail, went onto Craigslist and saw a listing for a 1970s Bianchi road bike. The bike was advertised for $50. It is a beautiful forest green. I went to go check it out tonight with the boy and the only problem is with the Campagnolo shifters. I purchased it and took it to the bike shop. The boy is converting it to a single speed, it needs a seatpost adjustment, the bottom bracket needs something that the boy can do, it needs new brake pads, and I want new handlebar tape. So, I will probably put another $50 into it and have a beautiful bumming around bike. I am excited.

There will soon be a lot of pictures put up; just a warning.
