It's amazing how bad a school can get. These kids are only in elementary school and their already at a dissadvantage. The kids at Lincoln elementaryl school are so low in the proficientcy for reading and math compared to the state, the scores are in the low 30 and 40 percent and one is 25 percent, while the state percents are in the 70s. Only 14% of students passed the math portion of the Minnesota Basic Skills Test and only 32% of students passed the reading portion.
I liked that Lincoln Elementary is trying to make their school a better learning environment, but without more help they won't be able to get the neccessary eduacational tools they need inorder to keep up to par with students in other schools.
