Hourly Rate: $9.00 - $11.00 DOQ
Qualifications
Required
-Currently enrolled University of Minnesota student; undergraduates, a minimum of 6.0 credits and graduates, a minimum of 3.0 credits.
-Experience using Microsoft Software Applications, particularly Word.
-Excellent writing skills.
-Strong attention to detail, data integrity, and organization skills
-Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
-Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
-Excellent customer service skills; professional demeanor and appearance
-A desire and ability to work as part of team and take direction from multiple people with a variety of personalities, skill-sets and a fast paced/multitasking environment
-Writing intensive coursework: prefer major in journalism, English, or another writing-intensive major
-Ability to learn new software.
Preferred
-Interest in transportation related professions
-Coursework in English, journalism, public policy, urban studies, transportation related research, or engineering
-Experience assisting full-time professional staff with varied and complex projects
-Experience using Adobe InDesign
-Experience with Adobe Acrobat Professional
Duties
Report Management:
Edit and format research reports for publication.
Create report covers
Maintain organization of electronic and paper files
Write short technical paragraphs
Administrative Services:
Assist with mailing, copying, and filing
Assist with communications (telephone, email, fax)
Assist with taking meeting minutes and dictation
Create PowerPoint presentations
Compile survey information and event evaluation summaries.
Proposal Management:
Formatting of grant proposals to create consistency
