people who love languages. We are a small, passionate team of people who love
the challenges that come with our start-up environment. We're dedicated to
making outstanding language tools, and have produced some of the most popular
dictionaries and phrasebooks for Mac, Windows, iPhone and iPad, Palm, Windows
Mobile, and the web available today.

10-15 hours/week paid internship
2 positions open
Dates of Internship: May 2012 - August 2012

We will hire several marketing communications interns to work on a variety of public relations, copywriting, campaign planning and execution, social media, multimedia, and social responsibility programs. Our communications interns work directly with the communications coordinator to increase exposure of our company and products, build lasting relationships with our customers, and increase sales with campaigns. These internships come with an opportunity to create content for various channels, including emails, websites, social channels, our blog, etc. with measurement and evaluation integrated into each task.

Marketing communications interns may be responsible for:
Writing: Promote recent products and announcements in various owned communications channels by composing, proofreading, and publishing content
Media relations: Work with our contacts to secure placements of company and product news
Campaign planning: work with the marketing team to design and execute communications campaigns to support business goals
Social media: build relationships, create, and publish content for various channels
Support our Apps for Aid program by identifying potential partners and exposure opportunities
Evaluate the effectiveness of our marketing materials and suggest improvements
Various other activities as assigned

Qualifications:
Student or recent graduate in journalism, English, public relations, communications, marketing or related field
Passion for communications strategy, and eagerness to develop skills in various communications methods and styles
Excellent writing skills a must, including a basic understanding of writing for the web
Excellent grammar and proofreading habits required
Ability to confidently handle multiple projects with various deadlines
Proficiency in a non-English language preferred, but not required
