Driver in critical condition after van collides with cow

A driver sustained serious injuries after her van collided with a cow on Saturday night on Interstate 90.

According to the Star Tribune, 36-year-old Svetlana Y. Schmitz was taken to St. Marys Hospital.

In the Pioneer Press article, Schmitz's one passenger, 62-year-old Tatyana Grigorieskaya, only had minor injuries. Grigorieskaya was also taken to St. Marys Hospital to be treated.

Traffic going westbound on I-90 was closed for an hour as the crash site was being cleared as well a medical helicopter came to take Schmitz to the hospital.
