Welcome to the SPLASH project blog!

Through this blog we hope to provide you with information regarding the SPLASH project and create an opportunity to work collectively to create a better park system.

The SPLASH project was initiated in January 2010 and is an exciting research partnership between the University of Minnesota and the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB). The project investigates outdoor recreational needs among different types of families and the impact of neighborhood park design on family health and well-being. The study area for the project includes the Harrison, Powderhorn, Ventura Village, East Phillips and Midtown Phillips communities in Minneapolis, MN.
